Ken Rock

Ken Rock has been a freelance scriptwriter, lecturer and consultant for over 25 years. He has written comedy material for radio, television, videos, films and comedians in Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Finland, Norway, Slovenia, Canada, and also in the Czech Republic where he was the first Westerner to sell comedy material directly.

His many credits include News Huddlines, Ken Dodd, Dave Allen, Russ Abbot, Naked Video, Brian Conley and the Two Ronnies. Apart from jokes and sketches, Ken has written many different forms of comedy including pantomime, situation comedy, comedy dramas, game shows and children's television. He has also worked as a storyline writer and scriptwriter for The Walt Disney Organisation, script editor for East Anglian Productions, and script consultant for various independent TV companies. Ken in also an experienced lecturer who believes "that as long as the student can write, classes will work no matter the age level or past writing experience" He has run workshops for writers and TV EXECUTIVES IN THE UK and Europe, and in 1998 became the first Briton to run a comedy writing workshop for African writers in Zimbabwe.In 1981, he set up the Comedy Writers Association UK and in 1988 was elected its Life President. In 1999, Ken was instrumental in setting up the British Society of Comedy Writers.
