COMEDY WRITING FOR TELEVISION This course aims to teach students the basic skills of writing comedy. It is for students who want to write comedy for television. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some experience, this course is for you. Through a series of lectures and workshops, students will acquire the skills required to write professional comedy scripts. Topics will include writing visual material, writing quickies and sketches, creating characters, developing storylines, writing dialogue, situation comedy, and how to sell your work. The course will include group writing.By the end of the course you will have gained suffiecint knowledge to write professional TV. comedy scripts and know how to submit your work to TV companies. Examples of current TV programmes and course material will be provided.
